Every writer has a distinct voice, a way they curate and arrange words that sets them apart.

That is what makes each writer unique.

A good piece of writing will make the reader feel, or think, or contemplate their life. It will give them a new angle on an idea they thought they’d figured out. I want readers to leave with curiosity to learn more. A desire to change. That is what writing has the potential to do. That is what I will always strive to do.

Everything.

I create with enthusiasm and curiosity, keeping the reader in mind. People can smell an agenda and it’s my job to portray the message in a meaningful, authentic way.

I’ve written and/or edited copy for non-profit organizations, global brands, small businesses, book publishers, and more. This includes; press releases, web copy, advertising copy, blog posts, social posts, short stories, query letters and synopses, newspaper and digital articles, product copy, brand copy, manuscripts, and more.

My debut teen novel was published by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers with high praise from the top journals and review publications in the country.

I’m also an expert editor with experience editing for a publishing house, interning for a prominent literary agent, and I was a mentor for many years in online writing programs like #pitchwars and #pitchmadness which launched the popular, and now retired, #pitmad hashtag. I’ve also had my own writing featured in various online writing contests over the years.

I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism and advertising and wrote for my school newspaper.

I know the written word.
